Finally...a place to ramble on:) This will be nice- a place to talk about new things coming up, things I'm going to attempt to make, etc. I've been having an awesome time over the past few months coming up with new things to make. I do not use patterns so it's always a challenge for me. I like to be creative and I love a challenge.
My little 3 year old told me today that she was going to crochet like mommy. She proceeded to knot up some pretty expensive yarn.....instead of freaking out, I just watched...to her, she was creating a masterpiece and who was I to put a value on that? So I now am the proud owner of a blob of yarn...which will be displayed somewhere in the house. Fortunately for my customers, I will not be duplicating this "pattern". :) You just gotta love kids!
Anyway- new things. Along with crocheting washcloths for babies, booties for babies, hats/beanies (pixie, pom pom, shell, etc), I am starting in on baby Pea Pods also known as baby cocoons. They are just gorgeous and I really wish I had one when my three were little! I will be brining a couple/few into Italy Ava later this week. They are SUPER popular and I dont expect them to sit long...so guess who will be busy making cocoons?:) I also just started working on baby/toddler mittens and they are turning out so darn cute. I'm a perfectionist so it always takes me awhile to come up with the perfect end-product...it just needs to be perfect, that's all:) You will probaly notice that I have a certain taste in the creations I make...I haven't pinpointed the correct descriptive term yet except for that it's modern ..and of course, adorable!
